Sant’Angelo’s village

Sant’angelo is a fishermans village located on the south of the island, a wonderful place for a dream vacation.  It’s a village with small roads, steps and a large square. No cars are allowed except for electric ones that take people or goods.  There are many hotels with modern thermal spas, indoor and outside pools where you have the opportunity to have the thermal and beauty treatment.  In  Sant’angelo you have a variety of things to do, you can go to the beaches from Maronti to Sorgeto.  You can do tennis, excursions, water sports and  cooking courses.  There are also shops, restaurants and taverns with music, not to mention the thermal parks to be found here: – L’Aphrodite –Appollon the heart of Sant’angelo near the beach, which has 10 pools.  Also Parco thermale Tropical which you will find when you enter Sant’angelo, as well as the views over the bay of maronti, they have 9 thermal pools.  The famous square is situated on the edge of the fishermans port, it is a meeting place for tourists who come from all over the world.  The trendy boutiques dug out from the rocks offer an assortment of things to buy from leather goods and clothes to lovely local pottery.  From Sant’angelo port you can take a taxi boat to the ‘fumarole’, or maronti and in the opposite direction Sorgeto.  The buses are very frequent stopping every 20 mins from Forio and Ischia.
