Owner Franco di Scala is a third generation restauranteur who returned to Ischia after several years in Rome, renovating his family’s old wine cantina into this cozy space. The menu offers the island’s specialties, which include both seafood and meat, along with vegetable based dishes, too. Creamy risotto or a perfect al dente pasta are on the line up, served with house made wine. It’s a down home kind of place that locals come to, off the beaten path in the hills near Barano.
